A Head of Enterprise Architecture is being sought by a European leading, marketplace and services business, to be based near Guildford, Surrey and part-remote - paying up to GBP100,000 + a great benefits package and additional extras.
As the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will be accountable for proactively and holistically leading the evolution of enterprise systems from an architecture perspective in response to a rapidly changing business and technology environment.
This role will also include management, taking line reporting responsibility for a team of Technical/Solution Architects, working in a collaborative way.

As the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will be accountable for proactively and holistically leading the evolution of enterprise systems from an architecture perspective in response to a rapidly changing business and technology environment.

The main duties and responsibilities for this Head of Enterprise Architecture role will be, but not limited to:
- Establish, Lead and Influence by setting a strategic technology direction through engagement and collaboration with business and external suppliers
- Promote the business value of the Architecture team by establishing business outcome-oriented credibility in short order
- Encourage experimentation in technology and business evolution, rapidly prototype new, innovative ways of working and tools to enable business outcomes
- Strive to continuously improve the architecture practice
- Work with and understand fully, solution trade-offs such as cost, scope, timescale, and balance between long-term strategic and short-term pragmatic considerations
- You will need to be able to work with domain and technology experts to develop solution from high level architecture to detailed design level - recognized as a subject matter expert
To be successful in this Head of Enterprise Architecture role, you will need a strong mixture of the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics
- Experience with developing ERP strategies, procurements and market analysis
- Business process design and alignment with SaaS/On-Premise ERP products
- Data migration and Data life cycle management expertise
- Functional expertise in Finance (O2C, P2P, R2R) and HR/Payroll modules specifically in popular ERP products such as for Oracle, SAP, Workday, MS Dynamics and NetSuite
