About the Company

I am working with a client in the retail/e-commerce industry in search of a Head of Finance. With an International presence, my client is looking to continue expanding by bringing in their first Senior Finance hire. This is a well-established brand with an and significantly grow their capital. Used by over a million people a year, the client is searching for someone to head up and build their finance function from scratch.

Key Objectives:

  • Building out and leading a Finance Function from scratch
  • As a key part of the executive management team, ensure that all business decisions are based on accurate and timely financial data.
  • Continue to develop the company’s financial planning model and assess any issues potentially present
  • Completing the year end reports and overseeing the month-end process to ensure everything is running efficiently and that all the reporting is correct.
  • Maintain key relationship with auditors and accountants in order to sign off statutory accounts/tax returns as well as create and execute accounting policies and processes for the company.
  • Lead budgeting process and overseeing company’s administration

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA)
  • Experience in E-commerce/SaaS industry is preferred
  • A minimum of five years PQE, ideally including both practise and industry positions.
  • Ability to work on many tasks at once.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as extensive experience in financial control and commercial situations.
  • Able to manage, guide, and lead a team in order to guarantee right financial practises are followed.
  • Accounting principles and financial statistics should be well-understood.
  • Expertise with Excel and great presentation abilities
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
