A growing manufacturer, based in South Birmingham, are looking for a proactive Quality Engineer on an interim basis to lead all site improvement.

This growing company manufacture an array of specialist products and as the Quality Engineer you will interacting with the customer, performing root cause analysis and problem solving.

This is a project-oriented Quality Engineer, supporting an established quality team in order to provide effective solutions and quality improvement.

Description

You will be working closely with Production, Technical and Manufacturing Engineering departments on quality related matters such as; process control, improvement and resolution to ensure customer and business requirements are met in a timely fashion.

As the Quality Engineer will be responsible for pushing the Quality agenda and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct internal audits and participate in external and third-party audits.
• Provide technical expertise and knowledge on validation to manufacturing group, QA, maintenance, design
• Be responsible for leading quality/process improvement on-site and be the subject matter expert for customer audits.
• Create and put into action documents / protocols for new process & equipment
• Assist with the creation of Work Instructions & SOPs
• Maintain & promote ISO standards
• Manage the CAPA process

Profile

This is a great opportunity for a Quality Engineer with manufacturing experience looking to drive improvements. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Good working knowledge of ISO
• 8D or poka-yoke knowledge
• Good customer facing skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Job Offer

Circa £25 - £35 per hour
