Data Protection Officer - London

Responsibilities:

• Managing data protection governance framework in compliance with UK GDPR, including advising on and overseeing data mapping and records of data processing.
• Maintenance and improvements of the data protection risk management process.
• Working with internal stakeholders in the review of operations and projects and related data processing to ensure compliance with data protection laws, and where necessary, advising on and monitoring data protection privacy impact assessments.
• Assess new suppliers, review & agree on contracts, and perform supplier compliance reviews for the UK business in partnership with Information Security functions.
• Provide client due diligence responses and inputs to client contracts focusing on UK business.
• Responding to Data Subject Requests performed by teams of compliance analysts. The Data Protection Manager provides theteams' data protection subject matter expertise:
  • Provide advice to data protection compliance analysts who answer routine Data Subject Requests
  • Resolve Data Subject Request escalations
• Support the development of workflow
• processes, using our Privacy tool, to optimise data protection team services.

Profile

Data Protection Officer - London

Requirements:

• You have a solid data protection background, with relevant experiences.
• Preferably you will hold at least one data protection and/or privacy certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, BCS, etc)
• The ability to work professionally in English is required and knowledge of another EU language is desirable.
• The ability to support your teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication and advocacy skills, with demonstrable experience of prioritising effectively and managing diverse and multiple requirements.
• Ability to work in an informal matrix organisation.
