Lloyd’s Register Foundation is an independent global charity with a unique structure and an important mission: engineering a safer world. It is helping to meet global challenges with global solutions, reducing risk and enhancing safety in areas such as marine and shipping, energy, and food. It does this by supporting high quality research, accelerating technology to application, and through education and public outreach. The Foundation’s strategy brings together science, safety and society, and through current grantmaking activity, over £100m of active social capital is advancing this strategy and making a real difference in securing the critical infrastructure on which modern society relies.

The board is looking to appoint an exceptional new Chief Executive who shares the Trustees’ ambitious long-term vision for the Foundation. They will lead a talented and expert Foundation team and work closely with Lloyd’s Register Group to maximise synergies and the opportunities of this unique social business, pursuing a dynamic and innovative programme of work that is addressing the world’s most urgent challenges. We hope you will be inspired to apply.
