Regional Finance Director, Hertfordshire
£110- £130kpa Package, Plus Great Benefits Inc- Bonus of 20%, Medical & Pension
Vitae are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a rapidly expanding commercially focused business, in their search for a Regional Finance Director. This role will support the business during the next growth phase and support the impressive leadership team to take the business to the next level. Current revenues are in the £1Billion region and they have a great platform to continue this growth.
This role will require the candidate to travel (circa 50% of the time) to various European offices.
Key Duties:-
Responsible for monitoring of acquisitions and investments, particularly in the areas listed under:
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting throughout the group
* Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance, especially tax compliance
* Oversight of company accounts and investments
* Drive enhanced and efficient processes
* Support a strong risk management function
* Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and reports
* Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated financial statements
* Research technical accounting issues for compliance
* Support month-end and year-end close process
* Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
* Treasury maintenance and improvements
* Investigation of investment and growth opportunities
* Additional duties as necessary
The successful candidate for this role will bring an ideal mix of experience across the core areas of Financial Reporting and Controlling. S/he must have managed teams and must be adept in influencing senior stakeholders. S/he must be innovative in thought process and drive the same culture throughout his/her team.
Key skills and proficiency's required for this role are:
* Best-in-class academic and professional pedigree in business / functional management. Fully Qualified in Accountancy (ACA/CIMA).
* Overall extensive experience in Financial Accounting and Controls with in-depth knowledge of these functions.
* Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mind set, with a natural flair in this area. A track record of Mergers and Acquisitions would be beneficial.
* Have the ambition to progress from this role into the Group Finance Director/ CFO roles in the future.
