Job Description
Capital Markets Systems Business Analyst role offers an excellent opportunity to interact with a broad cross section of SME across the company from Front to Back Office as well as regular exposure to senior stakeholders; third party vendor relationship will also form a key part in this role.
  • Working closely with FO Fixed Income Business stakeholders and the development team to manage projects, analyse and design business solutions and to produce technical requirement documentation
  • Support the continued evolution of the Securities lending technology platform
  • Proactively identifying, specifying and documenting business requirements from key business stakeholders
  • Managing daily communication with business stakeholders and IT staff
  • Creating test plans and ensuring approval of delivered solutions
  • Defining documentation, training and delivery for successful project hand-over
  • Create and contribute to team processes and procedures
  • Leading and facilitating working group discussions and workshops
  • 3rd Party relationship management

Capital Markets Systems Business Analyst Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience of working on a repo platform implementation
  • General understanding of Fixed Income business
  • Experience of working in a Middle Office or Front Office Fixed income role preferred
  • Strong understanding of trading financing transactions
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Securities Lending business
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and securities lending industry
  • Experience in a Senior Business Analyst/Project Management roles within an investment banking organisation
  • Understanding of bank Operational processes and BAU expectations
  • Demonstrated experience of creating business / technical requirements and specification documentation
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering Regulatory software and business solutions managing, end to end, design, definition and delivery of technical solutions in-line with strategic goals within financial organisations or Software Vendors
  • Demonstrated experience handling communications at all levels across the whole business including dealing with high level stakeholders in a financial environment
  • Ability to handle communications at all levels from across the whole business, including Front Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A Business, Finance, Science or Mathematics degree or qualification and relevant business experience in a similar role
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred (not required)
  • Experience of front to back office trading systems desirable
  • Experience and understanding of a Securities banking environment
  • Familiarity with SDLC - BA and project management methodology within Financial Services
  • Familiarity / Hands-on experience with manual / automated testing environments
  • Familiarity with SQL, .Net and C#/++ (or other relevant languages) and VBA preferred
  • Good Excel-based spreadsheet / quantitative and data management skills
