Head of Regulatory Services Ref 0004 E3B3 / 1
Part time considered, 3-4 month assignment

We require the short term services of a seasoned professional to lead its Regulatory Service whilst the current Head of Service is deployed on essential Covid-related activities. The role covers 5 teams all involved in public protection and regulation:- Environmental Health & Pest Control, Trading Standards & Licensing, Community Safety, Building Control and Parking.

The key task will be to keep these services on track, ensure existing projects are delivered and to initiate some new programmes where necessary. To accomplish this you will need to be an experienced manager with a track record of leading services within a Council or other public authority, alongside other relevant experience. Technical knowledge of one of the disciplines covered will be an advantage, but the ability to manage teams within a regulatory environment is the key skill required.
