Head of Data - Data Architecture/Data Engineering/Data Science/Data Visualisation/Business Intelligence/BI/Management Information/MI/Reporting - AWS, GCP Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview, SQL

My client, a leader in their field are looking to take on a Head of Data to take over their operation and lead them forwards in their Data Journey. The role will be predominantly home-based with regular travel required to various UK sites (expenses paid) and is paying up to GBP85,000pa (though this may be negotiable for the right person) plus Bonus and a range of great benefits.

You will need to have strong communication skills and solid leadership capabilities to inspire and drive the team onwards and upwards. The team is circa 12 people in total but is split into Data Engineering, Data Science and Reporting & Data Visualisation as well as Data Architects. Data is absolutely central to informing business strategy, so you and your department will be called upon to engage with key stakeholders within the business to inform decision making. You will have full strategic oversight and direction in data within a major organisation heavily reliant upon data.

The role will be predominantly strategic and people management/leadership focussed, however you will be getting involved in architectural decisions as well and you will need to come from a data oriented technical background in order to establish credibility with the team.

Please note: Although this role is predominantly home-based you must be UK-based and have full right to work in the UK, my client cannot offer sponsorship.

Essential Skillset/Experience
- Solid commercial experience in a Leadership role within the realm of Data (Management or Head of roles ideally)
- Experience of recruiting and line managing people
- Creating and executing data strategy in large complex organisations
- Prior successful experience working in a hands-on data role
- Strong Data Architecture experience & capability
- Strong SQL Skills
- Strong comprehension of data governance and regulations around this (eg GDPR)

Desirable Skillset/Experience
- Data Science/Data Engineering/Data visualisation experience
- Any cloud based data services platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP (Google Cloud)
- Data Visualisation tools eg Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview etc
- Experience working with CRM and ERP platforms eg Salesforce, Dynamics etc
