Agile Software Delivery Project Manager - remote, work from home, working as part of established E-commerce team online commerce market leader, customer focused software delivery project management
Project Planning and Management
- Drive completion of project scope
- Create and maintain a credible project plan shared with Leadership team, Project tam and Client
- Maximise our performance to project baselines across scope, timeline, revenue, and profitability
- Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports, Burndown charts;
- Organize and lead project status reviews
- Manage risks and issues;
- Manage change rigorously, and ensure client expectations on changes are managed accordingly, and we are commercially protected for those changes
- Manage dependencies and risks with the client and with our internal teams, to proactively mitigate them and defend our baselines
- Resourcing requests to deliver the agreed scope of work
- Tracking and reporting on the financial health of the project
- Implement basic Agile ceremonies such as Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming and prioritisation, Show and tells, Retros
Team Management
- Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments,
- Removing roadblocks, rework and inefficiencies to their work;
- Leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work;
- Mentoring and developing team members
- Supporting Clients in managing dependencies, UAT and Sign off process
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycles
- Expert knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles
- Proven track record of managing Digital eCommerce projects through production
- Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 8 -12 team members including Developers, Solution Architects, Tech Leads, and QA Personnel with a near shore and offshore distribution
- Balanced business/technical background:
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Ability to provide leadership to Solution Architects and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
Skills required
- Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Project financial reporting and forecasting
- Ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
- Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
- Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/Greenhopper, or Equivalent
- Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view
