James Chase Solutions is currently looking for a Head of Platform Operations to work for an exciting and successful company based in London. You will be managing the platform team, ensuring the websites are kept alive and healthy as well as working very closely with a range of engineers to deliver a fast, robust, safe and secure delivery pipeline.

Main Duties

• Responsible for managing the 24x7 Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms.
• Provide engineering support of all AWS services, Servers, networks, operating systems, virtualization technologies and applications
• Work in collaboration with Software Engineering teams to ensure changes to the platform are introduced with the minimum of disruption

You will have excellent experience in managing AWS platform teams whilst being hands on.
You will also have knowledge some of the following technologies: Docker, CoreOS, Ubuntu, Nginx, Python, Kubernetes, Jenkins

Office/Home working - Office visits once every 2 weeks.
