The Finance Business Partner will be primarily responsible for providing senior leaders with best in class commercial and financial data whilst identifying trends that highlight both the risks and growth opportunities facing the business. This is a pivotal role within the finance function and the role holder will enjoy exposure to a vast array of multi faceted teams.

Finance Business Partner Responsibilities:


  • Working closely with operational managers with department aligned BD managers on client bids and proposals where finance enabled pricing and commercial support can add value
  • Supporting business development efforts via the critical review of key clients
  • Enhancing existing client relationships

Performance Management 

  • Owning group P&Ls - producing quality insightful commentary and commercial challenge
  • Providing astute analysis to help maximise profitability across the group particularly across benefit realisation, utilisation, staffing ratios and working capital
  • Reviewing and analysing actual performance, interpreting results drawing conclusions and implementing recommendations for future action


  • Leading the preparation of the annual budget providing insight for key commercial assumptions
  • Interpreting and communicating month end findings to wider finance teams
  • Providing regular forecasts to COOs highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Challenging business assumptions in forecasting and planning

Business Support 

  • Serving as the link between the business and finance 
  • Identifying efficiency benefits via process improvement initiatives
  • Articulating any working capital concerns
  • Carrying out scenario modelling and business case preparation 
  • Providing mentoring and coaching to both finance and non finance employees

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACCA/ ACA/CIMA qualified finance professional with a minimum of 5 years PQE
  • Demonstrable finance business partnering track record of success within large, matrix structured organisations
  • Highly proficient financial modelling skills 
  • Outstanding communication both written and verbal
  • Emotionally intelligent with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels 
  • Collaborative team player
  • Strategic, big picture focused
  • Strong IT / Finance systems skills
