Russam is working with a leading name in the food distribution sector, supplying to some of the UK's best-known high-street food outlets.

Role and Responsibilities

An interim Depot Manager is required to manage the distribution operation that includes 175 warehouse colleagues and 180 drivers. Other responsibilities include:
 

• Budget management
• Resource management
• Maintaining good operational practice
• Working collaboratively with colleagues in other distribution centres
• Managing third party contractors

Starting immediately for a minimum of 3 months.

The Desired Candidate

We are looking for an experienced interim/contract professional with a successful track record in distribution and depot management, ideally at a similar scale. Food industries experience would be an advantage. You will also have:
 

• Led a similar sized distribution centre: 175 warehouse colleagues and 180 drivers
• Demonstrable high standards of management and operational efficiency
• The ability to maintain good relations with all colleagues and lead cooperative agreements
• A focus on the customer and service
• High quality standards
• Good reporting practices
• Financial acumen
• Resilience
