We have an excellent new role for an Operations Director working for Europe's biggest facilities maintenance company, this role will be working on a newly awarded large government contract, covering multiple sites across the UK

Responsibilities:
  • The person will have responsibility for the Life Systems Services service delivery and compliance/risk management outputs to meet the Department's Statutory Maintenance and Compliance requirements
  • To lead and manage a partnership solution delivering the Client's Statutory Compliance requirements
  • To own and manage the Account governance arrangements around Statutory PPM, Remedial Works and Compliance outputs/measures and risk management creating sustainable relationships at all levels
  • Responsible for the development and periodic review of the Strategic Engineering Asset Management Plan
  • To interface with the delivery teams and provide senior level representation/ownership of delivery issues both to the Client, Integrator and within the FM Contract SMT
  • Liaison with the Compliance Team and the organisations functional support SME outside the account to ensure full capture of best practise
  • Oversee the Safe Systems of Work required to deliver the obligated services
  • Develop & test the Business Continuity plans for the contract ensuring the continuity of service at all times
  • To develop & maintain a strategy for engineering management across the client Account, including standards compliance
  • To identify training requirements for engineering personnel, facilitate the appropriate training courses & ensure the complete & accurate maintenance of training records & qualifications
  • To help embed a zero harm culture of Health and Safety within the contract
  • Ensure effective risk management processes and systems are deployed and managed to deliver enhanced levels of resilience, business continuity and broadcast continuity
  • To work with National Maintenance Network, Compliance Teams and external Suppliers to provide an integrated and seamless service delivery model to the Client and its stakeholders
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), Compliance, Business Continuity and QSHE systems and processes are implemented on the contract
  • To work closely with the National Maintenance Network and Compliance Teams to ensure that all systems and processes deployed are fit for purpose, meet partnership objectives and are fully understood and implemented across the Estate
  • To work with the Performance and Business Improvement teams to continually review and enhance Engineering and risk management solutions

Qualifications & Experience:
  • BEng / MSc / MEng / CEng in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar, discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Professional NEBOSH / IOSH
  • Likely to have proven success as a technical operations /or engineering leader and at least 10 years proven experience in related complex systems and transformation programmes.
  • Full understanding of ensuring full compliance with contractual, legal, safety and statutory obligations
  • Served in key technical and management leadership positions
  • Demonstrates ability to implement and meet targets across multiple sites
  • Competent in managing health and safety
