Fruition IT is partnering with an award-winning IT and Digital Software Consultancy, that's looking for a Senior Engineering Leader, well versed in Cloud and DevOps to provide overall technology leadership for a major public sector organisation

What does the role entail?

• Defining and implementing an organisational technology strategy - focused on Engineering, Technology & Architecture across the Portfolio life cycle
• Defining & implementing solution architectures and integrating them into business as usual. Ensure that all emergent and intentional solution design is fit for purpose across the whole life cycle management of the Portfolio
• Building & Managing Engineering, Technology & Architectural governance, establish the architecture, design processes & methods, establishment of the governance regime & assurance of ongoing architecture and design activities.
• Leadership of Engineering & Architecture staff - ensure that all Technology team members are well managed and aligned with the Portfolio CTOs strategy

Experience required?

• Engaging with customers at a senior level acting as a trusted advisor, realist and visionary.
• Ability to influence, manage, motivate and positively engage to drive business change
• Ability to think like the customer, empathising with their business, their problems and creating solutions into tangible outcomes
• Effective communication across the customer's business teams and enable relatable translation of technology issues tuned to the customer experience and expertise.
• Responsibility for the overall end-to-end architectural vision, technology strategy and governance within an account for Applications, Security, Service and Infrastructure.
• Capacity to provide solutions that drive down total cost of ownership and associated costs through reuse, business process and technology optimisation
• Solid understanding of a variety of technologies throughout the full SDLC, including public cloud platforms.
