Head of Architecture GBP80,000 - GBP100,000 + 30% Pension (total)

Working in partnership with the Head of Strategic Delivery, you will meet our clients strategic aims in a more disciplined, controlled way. Facing into the organisation, you will ensure the people under your leadership are reaching their full potential and are consistently focusing their efforts on the right activity required for success.

This is a new Architecture function, so there is plenty of opportunity to make it your own, drive high standards, and ensure quality runs up and down the leadership chain. Our client is keen to not be too prescriptive, leaving plenty of room for impactful change via strong leadership.

This position will move IT into a partnership role, delivering change and strategic value through programmes of work.

Head of Architecture Duties include:

* Influence, inspire and lead employees both under your remit and in other business units

* Define the Architectural model

* Document, define and specify the Enterprise Architecture

* Build capability and capacity, ensuring all solutions conform to the Enterprise Architecture

* Explore new, innovative IT Solutions

* Develop and implement standards, policies, processes & artefacts

* Ensure appropriate governance is in place

The successful candidate will have:

* Experience in a similar Head of EA/Chief Architect position

* Excellent understanding of leadership principles

* A track record of success in a large, complex environment
