As the Presales Director, you will be leading the overall strategy for their initial sales phases, developing their existing presales function of product specialists, and taking responsibility for the lead generation team who will be responsible for initiating interest with prospective clients.

Description

As the Presales Director, you will:

  • Lead, motivate, coach and manage the presales team, driving revenue and KPI activity
  • Lead a team of product specialists who are responsible for performing demos for clients
  • Also have responsibility for a small team who will initiate leads and qualify inbound leads to pass through to the sales team
  • Drive performance to achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets
  • Establish whether its a feasible and accurate opportunity where revenue can be delivered
  • Design and implement sales processes and ensure these are constantly kept under review
  • Contribute to revenue and cost budgeting exercises and achieve revenue and cost targets.
  • Build and maintain an expert level of product knowledge and use this lead the presales team..
  • Work with other internal Directors to ensure maximum return is received from both new and existing customers
  • Oversee key performance goals for direct reports
  • Be the lead in future product development and road-maps, working closely with customers to ensure products are fit for purpose, and market leading
  • Identify and respond to critical market data and turn complex ideas into simple plans for internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a level of expert market and product knowledge, including competitor offerings and product positioning

Profile

As the Presales Director you will,

  • Have a track record within a previous presales leadership with focus on both lead generation and presales where presales is more commercial, revenue focused with and not being too technical, engineering focused
  • Have a proven track record with software & IT products
  • Have a leadership background where you can demonstrate your ability to coach and train to enhance performance
  • Have strong communication skills and ability to engage internally and externally at senior level
  • Be customer centric and deliver a bespoke solution suited to their need that also provide commercial return
  • Be accessible to Leeds or London, though flexible working is available
