Head of Technology - Inside IR35/Onsite - Peterborough

Inside IR35 / Umbrella - £575 - £625/day (all inclusive day rate) which may be subject to change depending on applicable legislation or solution through which services are performed.

Head of Technology required for a leading client based in Peterborough. My client is currently seeking a Head of Technology to come on board to lead the Information Technology teams who ensure great services are delivered to all our staff. This means our staff can be supported to achieve the Trusts vision to provide outstanding care for our patients and local communities. They will be responsible for ensuring flexible, resilient technology which takes advantage of economies of scale where possible. The post holder will lead the technical architecture design function and make sure services are designed around the client's needs.

Onsite 2-3 days per week

Key skills,
  • Strong Head of Technology experience
  • Establish technical roadmaps to support key areas of the new Digital, Data and Technology strategy, plinking these proactively into the planning
  • Ensure that risks including core infrastructure and Cyber Security risks are being well managed and escalated appropriately to the CDIO. Act as deputy SIRO.
  • Develop performance metrics for the team including drawing down the use of externally benchmarked metrics and using own knowledge to apply to the areas within own control as appropriate. Develop and use a set of strategic KPIs
  • outsourcing MSP type track record NHS experience would be desirable
  • Develop the existing controls into a full Technical Design Authority forum and chair this forum for the wider Directorate. In doing so ensure
  • the introduction of technology adheres to the standards and architectural principles from the national Digital, Data and Technology strategy which are applicable.
  • Support and reinvigorate the use of professional industry stands which are already in place including IT Service Management. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and the Service Desk Institute.
  • Manage the Deputy Head of IT (Operations) and Deputy Head of IT (Projects) and other team members as appropriate who report to this post.
  • Working closely with the Head of Information to ensure that where possible all digital and technology staff are learning appropriate skills for the data domain as defined by the Digital Readiness programme of Health Education England.
  • High level Stakeholder management experience
  • Clear written, verbal and presentation communication skills
