Job Details

The Chief of Staff/Head of HR Strategy to the CHRO in this global consumer pharmaceuticals business is both a highly strategic and facilitative role in supporting the CHRO to deliver the HR leadership agenda.  

Working as the right hand to the CRHO, you will be immersed in strategic workstreams as well as take a lead role in driving large projects within the function, giving you deep insight and access to the organisational strategy and direction. In essence, this role allows the CHRO to deliver the People Strategy for this business, keeping all programmes on track and enabling the CHRO to prioritise their time and impact.                            

You will;

  • Be working as the right hand to the CHRO to drive and facilitate the alignment of multiple strategic programmes with the many project teams.
  • Ensure that coordination across the different groups and committees results in timely follow up and commitments are delivered to keep all on track.
  • Prepare CHRO communications and updates to the Board and internal, as well as external stakeholder’s various meetings.
  • Organise major HR leadership events and support the CHRO in prioritising time and appointments, responding to information and decision requests so that decision making is kept timely and efficient.
  • Prepare critical meeting agendas and participate in meetings plus be responsible for tracking outcomes and deliverables.                                                  

You most likely;

  • Come from an HR Change background having both the HR knowledge and programme/project management skills required.
  • Have worked in sizeable corporate businesses with operations across large geographies or globally, and have an appreciation for different markets.
  • Have worked directly with a CHRO as a trusted partner with access to sensitive information and are able to demonstrate successfully navigating ambiguity where the answers are not always obvious.
  • Someone who is focused but flexible, highly resourceful and with excellent analytical skills, able to see how everything fits into the overall strategic vision.
  • Have highly developed communications skills (written/verbal) with a meticulous attention to detail who enjoys being in a central, behind the scenes role.

This role can be based remotely anywhere in Europe with some travel to Switzerland. If UK based, please specify your expected daily rate outside of IR35 and salary if the role is deemed within by the client.
