Non-Executive Director The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust

Remuneration circa 13,000 pa.

Fixed term initial contract for 3 years.

Minimum time commitment 3-4 days per month.

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is the only standalone neurosciences Trust in the UK and, as a consequence, our services are provided across a wide geographical footprint. We have twice been rated as an Outstanding trust by the Care Quality Commission, most recently in August 2019, and we are recognised as a spinal centre of excellence by Eurospine. Research is an integral part of our work.

We are seeking to appoint two exceptional individuals to be non-executive directors on the Trust s Board and who will help achieve our vision of Excellence in Neuroscience. As a specialist Trust we continually strive to improve the quality of our services and have a strong track record of consistently performing well, delivering excellent patient outcomes in our specialist area of neurosciences care. We are looking for individuals who bring relevant experience, skills and passion to drive forward our ambitious strategic agenda.

In order to complement the existing skill mix of our Board, we would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have:

Position 1 - A clinical and research background with a commitment to quality improvement.

Position 2 Experience of leading governance in complex health and social care organisations with a commitment to quality assurance in relation to clinical practice in health care.

An NHS background is not essential but relevant Board level experience is required.

All positions at The Walton Centre are subject to a 6 month probationary period.
