My client are currently seeking a highly motivated, talented and experienced Head of Product to manage the development and direction of industry leading legal IT solutions. The candidate must be someone who really believes in providing excellent customer service. This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity for a Head of Product who is both strategic in their approach as well as accomplished at shaping successful products and services.

This new role reports to the Chief Information Officer and forms a key part of investment in developing and enhancing the business's delivery of legal services for its clients and estate agency introducers.

This is a predominantly remote role with some travel to the office, which is not too far from Northampton. Commutable areas; Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Daventry, Northampton.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Evangelist for clients and intermediaries.

To act as the evangelist and champion for the needs of clients and introducers across the business's services.

Evolution of product.

Ensure that the platform/product/service evolves to meet the current and future needs of the business (both included in roadmaps and beyond).

Understanding of client and intermediary needs.

Work with Operations, Sales, IT & Compliance to develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and pain points within the business's services, factoring in the competitive and regulatory environments and technology trends.

External liaison - clients.

Commission focus groups and detailed interview sessions with clients of the business and others recently active in property transactions.

External liaison - introducers.

Engage with introducers to understand their needs and wishes, gaining a rich understanding of estate agen cy activities and legal services requirements.

Product definitions & roadmaps.

Agree, define and maintain product/service definitions and work with stakeholders to prioritise roadmap items for each product/service.

Managing development backlog.

Represent clients and introducers in cycles of systems development and continuous process improvement: managing product and development sprint backlog detail.

Change Advisory Board.

Participate in regular Change Advisory Board meetings, acting as the Proxy for the interests of clients and introducers, ensuring that all parties are considered in a fair and consistent way.

Stakeholder communication.

Act as a key point of communication to stakeholders, keeping all parties regularly informed of progress against strategic objectives, day to day issue resolution and risk management.

Experience & Knowledge

Proven and demonstrable track record of achievement at manager level within a fast-moving business environment.

Gravitas and intellectual rigour to interface with external stakeholders, particularly estate agents referring clients to the business and groups of clients themselves.

Creation of a clear and compelling vision and the ability to take vision into action.

Ability to influence without authority and take people with you through to delivery, sometimes against established and Embedded practices.

Ability to challenge with a can do approach and create new ways of working to overcome obstacles.

Ability to think clearly at strategic level and provide thought partnership for the CIO, COO and Sales Director in addition to providing supporting, detailed analytics where necessary.

Strong cross-department awareness.

Ability to proactively take ownership to create and deliver solutions for the business.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business internally.

Quickly understands business priorities and able to prioritise tasks appropriately.
