Are you an ambitious Financial Controller looking for your first Finance Director role, or an accomplished Finance Director looking for a new challenge? We currently have a rare opportunity for an outstanding qualified finance expert to join our business in a period of rapid growth. We are a very successful SME manufacturer based in Manchester, M41 with international operations. We have grown significantly over the past 5 years and have ambitious plans for the future.
We are looking for an outstanding applicant for this role, skilled both from a technical and commercial perspective. You will be well supported by the senior management team and given the autonomy to implement new and fresh ideas.

You probably won't fit everyone's preconceptions of an accountant and you will have consummate people skills which will enable you to fit into a vibrant and high energy business, you will also need sufficient gravitas to work closely at the highest level with the executive management team of the business and stakeholders. You will be a natural leader of people, capable of winning respect at all levels, a great communicator and an extremely efficient manager. Above all, you will have the ability to appreciate the larger operational picture - not just the financial issues - and to work as part of a close knit and entrepreneurial team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your key responsibility will be driving the financial strategy of the business, managing financial budgets, controls and processes as well as management of the Finance team.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for reporting and presenting to the Board and the wider business on all financial matters.
Responsible for the annual budgets.
Ensuring completion of statutory accounts, tax returns and payments.
Overall responsibility for overseas subsidiaries' results and submissions.
Working with all none financial managers to ensure budgets are maintained and controlled.
Management of cash and working capital across the business (capital expenditure, stock, debtors and creditors).
Development and implementation of appropriate financial processes and controls.
Manage the Finance Department ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are in place.


About you:
A fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
At least 4 to 5 years PQE.
A strong generalist accountant with group accounts consolidation experience.
Familiar with international accounting and overseas subsidiaries.
A strong leader, capable of managing, developing and motivating a team.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
