Director of Health & Wellbeing

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners – the iconic veterans of the British Army. Some 300 men and women live at the Royal Hospital today, including those who have served in Korea, the Falkland Islands, Cyprus, Northern Ireland, and World War II. 

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will have a strong understanding of what this community needs. Someone who will meet their ambitions of being the best – mediocrity simply will not do.

The primary areas of accountability and responsibility for this role include maintaining and improving the health and wellbeing of In Pensioners through the provision of effective high-quality health, care, support, accommodation, leisure, ceremonial, and meaningful activity services for older military Veterans. This includes providing regulatory and legal compliance and assurance and a lead role in ensuring safeguarding policy and practice is of the highest standard.
