Excellent opportunity for an Operations Director with experience in managing the development of major residential schemes to join an established, reputable and highly successful regional housebuilder.

You will be responsible for to leading, managing, motivating and developing the regional office as well as the site employees in meeting the regional objectives putting the health & safety, quality, customers and employees at the center of the operations, ensuring that the production activities are managed in line with profit margin requirements as well as the company values.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Operations/Construction Director with experience in managing Construction as well as Technical / Commercial functions to progress their career within a highly-successful regional housebuilder.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for effective management of all operational and construction aspects of the region.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director on creating the Land Strategy.
  • Ensure that the costs are aligned with agreed budget.
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to the Health & Safety policies.
  • Day to day management of the region including recruitment, performance succession planning and talent management of resources.
  • Manage and develop site employees.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the company policies, particularly those related to construction, estimating and build cost, purchasing, surveying, Health & Safety and security.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working within the house building industry (preferably with a high volume house builder)
  • Track record of success growing a business from 200 to over 400 units
  • Outstanding communication and presentational skill
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Able to work to strict deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills
