Our client is looking for an experienced IT Director (Data and Technology) who will be responsible for overseeing IT Transformation change, developing the target operating model and roadmaps for the overall IT and Data functions. As the IT Director (Data and Technology), you will be leading a team of 22.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Director (Data and Technology)

• Responsible for the promotion of technology and information across the organisation, working collaboratively with colleagues to define, implement and deploy effective solutions to support business, organisational and customer service improvements
• Responsible for exploiting technology innovation and exploring new technologies that can support our business vision developing appropriate business cases for change
• Responsible for all service functions including staff, infrastructure, systems, and data/information.
• Responsible for the evaluation, development, and implementation of associated projects in line with organisational objectives.
• Responsible for the design and promotion of the development and implementation of systems, processes and databases that support improvements in the efficiency of what we do and how we do it.
• Responsible for ensuring that the service keeps current with trends and issues in the IT and information industry in line with best practice approaches, including emerging and future technologies.
• Responsible for recommending new strategic solutions, systems and technologies to Executives and Management based upon their benefits, competitive or financial impact.
• Responsible for supporting the development of ICT and information management skills, capacity, and capability within the organisation.
• Responsible for ensuring that IT and information solutions are appropriately maintained and secured to eliminate vulnerabilities and risks of reputational damage
• Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external advisors and vendors and ensure all service contracts are well managed and performance targets met. Act as the main point of contact for any outsourced IT activities and manage any contracts on behalf of the company
• Responsible for the preparation of financial budgets and performance reports.

Key Experience of the IT Director (Data and Technology)

• Extensive management experience in technology and information management environment.
• A demonstrable track record of identifying and successfully managing business change through the implementation of new technologies and business systems and driving innovation
• A demonstrable track record of implementing digital solutions to reduce customer and colleague effort, improve processes and efficiency and reduce costs
• A demonstrable track record of leading and influencing large scale technology enabled change programmes
• Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments.
