Annual turnover stands at c. £50 million with ambitions through its sector strategy to continue to grow its regional, national and international client base, the firm offers a broad range of legal services, with many of its lawyers recognised as leaders in their field. Foot Anstey has enjoyed year-on-year revenue growth for nearly all the last decade and have matched this with impressive improvements to its profitability.
A fundamental reason for the firm's achievements over this period has been the input of the Finance Director, a role which has been key to all the strategic decisions made which have led to the business's continued success. The role has grown into a commercially orientated operational position that can be described as that of a CFOO. Due to a planned retirement, Foot Anstey are now beginning the search for someone to join them in this role. Reporting into the Managing Partner, the new CFOO position will be a Board level appointment and requires an individual who can help set and deliver the financial firmwide strategy and truly influence the future success of the firm. It is a high profile, Board level appointment which will require a versatile, commercially focused finance professional with proven success in driving operational change and efficiency of at least a similar sized business at a Director level.
As well as being able to demonstrate exceptional technical and leadership skills, the successful applicant will also be able to display a high level of commercial acumen and be able to give advice and opinion about all aspects of financial delivery through our operations. With this will come outstanding communication skills and the ability to highlight the most important aspects of management information, presenting understandable and interesting commentary about firmwide and practice group financial performance. Applicants should hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or international equivalent).
