Part-time CFO - 1 day a week

Our client, an early-stage VC fund, are looking for a part-time CFO to join on a temporary basis. The role will work directly with the Partners, responsible for building internal structures and processes, taking ownership of the finance and operations of a relatively new venture firm.

Description

• Producing accounts and reports for the Fund Manager and sister company, supported by two outsourced accountancy firms.
• Managing accounts and investor reporting for the underlying portfolio and fund, supported by a fund administrator and auditor.
• Working with the Investment team to monitor portfolio performance and set allocation strategies.
• Build highly professional investor relations processes including investor reporting and communication.
• Managing the day to day operations of the fund manager, including making sure that processes and systems are in place to work as a high-performance team.
• Assist the team with the setup for a new fund.

Skills

• Qualified accountant (either ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience of fund and partnership accounting.
• Excellent academic record with good verbal and written communication skills and extremely high attention to detail.
• Experience liaising and communicating with senior stakeholders and a passionate interest in early-stage investing, with the desire to be involved in building a new VC firm at an early stage. 
• Ability to work within a relatively unstructured environment.
