Our client is a large scale, UK headquartered group, with significant global operations.
As Director, Group Financial Planning & Analysis – reporting directly to the Group CFO – your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with senior stakeholders across the organisation to drive group planning, analysis and reporting excellence
- Thought leader on bringing data driven decision making into financial analysis
- Drive ideation and set best practices on forward looking insight
- Drive performance through advanced analytics, scenario planning and portfolio reviews, and lead the embedding into the organisation
- Understand the strategic and operating plans and develop approaches to support objective decision-making across all aspects of business performance
- Collaborate with senior management and business teams to develop and implement relevant metrics to assist in improving business results
- Oversee and run the global planning and forecasting cycle
- Own the 5 year strategic plan and model for the group. Set and communicate multi-year targets based on this plan
- Form the strategic plan. Report on group level performance
- Ad hoc support to M&A agenda
Key requirements:
- Degree educated with a very strong academic profile.
- Professional qualification in finance (Big 4 ACA or CIMA, &/or MBA)
- Experience with large multi-national organisations, and a portfolio of businesses with differing business drivers
- Experience in designing and running a global/regional, multi-year, multi division, multi country planning and reporting process
- Excellent project management skills and proven leadership and communication ability.
- In depth understanding of business, value drivers, customers, competitors
- Experience of operating at senior management level and supporting the board
- A track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships
- Able to demonstrate the commercial value of Finance interventions or projects
- A true self starter, with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm
