Absolute IT Recruitment is delighted to be representing a rapidly-expanding FinTech start-up in London on their Chief Technology Officer vacancy. The successful CTO will be joining the business at an exciting time, with the business planning to scale rapidly following a recent (oversubscribed) seed funding round of £7million.

The business is a payments fintech that allows businesses to accept multiple payment methods at a significantly reduced cost, and has signed up with market-leading partners. The Chief Technology Officer will be leading an exceptional internal technology team and will provide strategic and technical direction as the business grows and looks to secure Series A-B funding in 2022.

The successful Chief Technology Officer will have the following attributes:

• Recent experience working as a VP/Head of Engineering, Head of Product, CTO or CPO in a FinTech business.
• Experience working within a start-up business.
• Demonstrated experience working across the software development and product lifecycle, from concept/MVP through to delivery and release.
• Experience building and leading software development and technology teams.
• Experience introducing and championing agile processes, including running sprits and following SCRUM principles.
• A background in software engineering/software development, with experience building secure, scalable solutions and platforms.

The business currently sits at 30 employees, and expects to grow to 50 by the end of 2021. This growth will be accelerated further by their Series A and B funding rounds in 2022, experience working within a high-growth start-up is therefore essential. The successful Chief Technology Officer will have the autonomy to design and lead the strategic technical roadmap of the business.

Due to a high number of applications received across multiple platforms, only candidates with the essential experience (i.e. recent FinTech and Start-up experience) will be considered for this position. The business is currently operating 100% remote, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. With their office and partners being based in London, only UK-based candidates will be considered for this opportunity.
