With an enviable client base of over 70 customers, and 700+ consultants deployed the business is looking to double in size and expand internationally over the next 2 years.

They are now seeking a Global Delivery Director to join the Board and Executive Team, leading the core proposition and business model: hire brilliant minds, train them and then deploy them across the client base delivering leading-edge technology projects.

The Role

This newly created role has end-to-end ownership in UK and across the US for the consultant population and the scaling at pace of the business. This represents significant global people leadership responsibilities with a consultant population of 700+ at the moment with the aim to grow this above 1200 by 2024.

Within that remit, the Global Delivery Director will be:

  • Accountable for the definition and delivery of the consultant proposition, through building strong relationships with clients (in conjunctions with Account Managers) to identify new trends and business opportunities.
  • Leading a team of specialists, including Talent Acquisition, Consultant Placement Team, Consultant Relationship Managers.
  • Delivering a pipeline of talent to meet business demand - leading the Talent Acquisition team to Attract & Select high quality candidates from diverse backgrounds into our different technical practices.
  • Defining and operationalising an appropriate, cost effective and scalable model for the allocation, management and development of consultants while on their client placement.
  • Ensuring Consultants have a rewarding employee experience which accelerates their career, resulting in high retention levels.
  • Working to ensure that consultants meet the high quality standards - technically and professionally – throughout the lifecycle of recruit, train and deploy on client placements.
  • Delivering high utilisation rates for consultants, minimising placement changes.

The Candidate:

You’ll be recognised as a Senior leader (possibly COO, Operations Director or Chief of Staff) used to working with Exec peers to define and deliver a strategic business plan.

 Areas of expertise you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Large scale deployment of people to meet customer SLAs. This experience may have been gained from a consultancy, outsourced and/or managed services business. Alternatively, you may have gained this experience “inhouse” running large back-office operations teams with a focus on process improvements and delivery of internal SLAs
  • Track record of leading large geographically dispersed teams and needing to nurture client relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple clients.
  • Identifying, delivering and embedding continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Scaling internal operations to meet new demand.
  • Ideally overseen expansion and had operational leadership internationally (preferably in the US).
  • Supporting early career development within your operational teams living the ethos of the business.
