This is an en exciting and broad opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with a background working within real estate funds. The successful individual will provide support to the Fund Finance and Asset Management teams on the reporting of a listed REIT and other European property funds. The role will involve all aspects of fund reporting, including working with fund and asset models, plans, budgets, variance analysis, and property data reporting, as well as internal and external reporting. This is a full-time role, working three days per week in the office (based in Central London) and two from home.

Description
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget by running, updating and analysing the budget fund model.
  • Review of monthly management accounts from a modeling and forecasting perspective including variance analysis to budget and forecast.
  • Prepare the monthly net property income analysis from a YTD and forecasting perspective, including collating commentary from the local teams on variances.
  • Quarterly preparation of the cash flow forecast.
  • Improvement of processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the fund reporting.
  • Managing and providing data in relation to statutory accounts and annual reports.
  • Enhance existing fund models for additional functionality as and when required.
  • Maintain and enhance country reporting packs.
  • Provide assistance including integration of acquisitions, from a modeling and accounting perspective, into the existing portfolio.
  • Provide assistance to the modeling analyst to help enhance internal tools.

Skills
  • Newly-qualified accountant.
  • Yardi or other relevant ERP systems knowledge will be beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of working with Excel reporting and forecasting models.
  • Proficient in other Microsoft applications.
  • Broad IT skills: MS Office package, especially Excel (VBA), with strong modeling experience.
  • Comfortable dealing with all levels of staff and delivering training.
  • Proactive individual who drives through improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to remain positive and motivate others in the face of adversity, and to develop and deliver against challenging targets with limited supervision and direction, showing both flexibility and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Meticulous, with attention to detail and accuracy, and a thorough and tenacious approach.
  • Comfortable working in isolation and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and in different cultural contexts.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise workload.
