It operates with  decentralised , autonomous business units focused on optimising performance in their own marketplaces . One of the portfolio has huge opportunity to enjoy significant organic growth and establish itself as a credible supplier in a technically demanding sector with a blue chip client base .

Key to the achievement of these ambitious plans is the appointment of an Operations Director with a broad skill set who will be tasked with transferring the lower value operations to a sister company enabling the business to concentrate on its core competences delivering to a demanding customer base on a right first time and every time basis . The successful candidate will develop a supply chain function allowing the business to efficiently and reliably meet the demand of its customers together with building an operational team capable of delivering as the subsidiary undergoes a period of significant growth and change .

This is a pivotal role working closely with and supporting the Chief Executive in ensuring a successful implementation of a growth strategy . It is expected that the individual to be appointed will  take broader site responsibility to enable the Chief Executive to focus a greater proportion of their time on new business development. The successful candidate will be an engineer with a record of impacting positively on the operational performance of a business with an excellent reputation for product quality and customer service . This role is seen as an entry point in to the group and so potential to progress is taken as read .
