Finance Director/CFO

Our client has grown from a one warehouse start- up to become a market leader in fulfilment and delivery services. It has exploited the e-Commerce wave and major developments in the courier and freight industries. With state-of-the-art technology and innovative processes, they now serve more than 700 clients worldwide, shipping thousands of parcels daily to businesses and consumers. The business is a significant force in the logistics industry with a reputation for excellence. It recently became a part of multibillion international corporation, and the demand for its services is at an all-time high. This results in significant investment in the ambitious growth strategy.

The Role:

A commercially focused Finance Director is required to support this ambitious growth.  He/she will assume responsibility for all aspects of finance, tax, treasury, risk, audit and legal both in the UK and Europe and:

• Drive strategic growth initiatives in the business whilst ensuring that all potential investment and growth opportunities undergo sufficiently robust challenge
• Be the driving force in maximising potential commercial opportunities, playing the lead role in setting commercial terms with new clients
• Coordinate/lead due diligence on potential acquisitions, taking a lead role in any transactions and post-acquisition integration
• Deputise for MD and be accepted as the natural choice for this role by the peers.

The Candidate:

A natural and inspiring leader with energy and vision, you will have a recognised financial qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent). Your will have significant proven experience in a progressively responsible financial leadership roles, ideally in logistics, ecommerce, fashion and beauty or similar sectors. Your previous track record will demonstrable ability to  balance technical know-how and commercial pragmatism. Finally, your will possess the gravitas to inspire confidence in all external stakeholders and be relentlessly results and success focussed. You will work as a part of a senior leadership team to achieve ambitious growth.
