My client is a local authority with a current need to recruit an Interim Head of IT operations.

The successful Head of It operations will manage the in-house IT operations service, acting as an interim senior manager and overseeing delivery, reporting, line management, escalation and governance of the service, whilst contributing to the wider IT senior management team.

Conduct a thorough review of our existing IT operations service, identifying areas for improvement, change and modernisation, and in consultation with the CIO, to drive both systems and "quick win" improvements to bring the service into line with modern IT expectations and practices.

To Be considered for the role of Head of IT Operations, you will..

Have previous experience redesigning services from an organisational design perspective

Have previous experience modernising an IT operations team and introducing governance, process and systems from scratch

Have demonstrable experience of managing both cloud and on-promise hosted services, maintain the most effective mix of both, and commissioning cloud environments and migrating services

Have significant experience of management Microsoft AD/Azure AD services and Exchange both on-prem and in the cloud

Have experience of running large IT operational projects and delivering successfully to time and budget.
