Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Our expanding organisation is looking for a talented technical leader that will lead the evolution of our managed services and in turn solving our clients' most complex business and technology problems to accelerate their Digital Strategy. This senior role is positioned at the crucial intersection of business, technology and industry to help our clients reimagine their business through the latest technological advancement and guide them through the transformation journey.

This is your opportunity to shape the vision and future of what IT Managed Services will be and frame the people, processes and technology required to deliver. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer this role will significantly influence both the company and our client's technology roadmaps.

Customer facing delivery of cloud solutions and complimentary products as part of the Managed Services Portfolio

Ownership and responsibility for the Pre-Sales engagement process with the Client, supporting Sales through the Sales Cycle to decision point, handing over into the delivery process for business wins.

Foster relationships with technology providers and partners to ensure technology portfolio provides combination of breed-of-breed and emerging solutions.

Consume and promote best practices, lessons learned, and intellectual property (IP) to our Engineering community with a focus on continuous improvement.

Foster senior level client relationships and engage with senior level Solution Providers and client stakeholders to drive solution success

Express great communication skills, presentation skills, written skills, customer/partner relationships and expectations management. Prepare and deliver effective presentations to customers to highlight solution detail and business benefit and help win/close deals.

Acting as an ambassador for the company, to raise profile, branding and credibility within the market, delivering excellence to delight our customers.

R&D/Product Development - working alongside Senior Management, other consultants and support engineers, collaborate to develop new products/improve service offerings to customers.

Keep up-to-date with developments in Cloud, Security and associated technologies and the customer and supplier market places.

Contribute significantly to the development of Company goals, training plans, service function, growth and profitability targets by being an active member of the leadership team and culture.

Your professional experience Minimum

2 years' experience in an executive position as CTO or equivalent in large organisation with strategic input into business development.

Leadership experience and proven track record of managing people.

Proven track record of presales success with Enterprise level clients.

Budget and P&L responsibility at a group or cost center level. Preferred

Proven Track Record in shaping and delivering architectural content for technology-enabled transformation programmes internally and externally.

Experience working in a Services organization in a consulting capacity.

Strong understanding of emerging and innovative technologies, and how to shape IT strategy and delivery in order to leverage those technologies.

Assessing an organisation's IT landscape and developing technology investment cases and roadmaps that align with business goals.

Assessing, defining and implementing an organisation's Enterprise Architecture function, setting up Architecture Governance & advising on best practices

Experience working across different stages of the IT sourcing life cycle including requirements gathering, evaluation, RFP development, commercial assessment, and negotiation.

Experience and knowledge in one or more enterprise/solution architecture domains like Application, Infrastructure, Integration or Data Architecture.

Previous technical delivery or operational responsibility for either ISO27001 or CyberEssentials.

Understanding of IT financial management including Business Case development, IT cost analysis and reduction, and IT service charging models.

Project Management experience in delivering large scale complex IT Transformation programmes.

Certification to AZ303/304 level or full Azure Solution Architect Expert.

Additional Experience:
A BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience working on multi-phase implementations is preferred.
