My client is a high-end, fast growth privately owned London based consultancy who are currently going through a period of rapid growth. They are looking for a Strategic Sales Manager to expand their Financial Services (FS) client base and build long-lasting relationships within Emerging Technology, Cyber Security, Big Data and Digital Transformation. They are looking for industry-specific specialists who are well known in their field. In particular we are looking for senior candidates that have specific knowledge in working across Financial Services (FS) sector selling technology consulting or professional services.

The role will largely involve connecting with potential customers and working closely with C-Level Financial Services (FS) sector mainly around banking and insurance client contacts to create sales pipelines and high level account management of existing accounts.

Experience of selling professional services around data/digital transformation highly desirable.

This person will need to be strategic, commercial and have previous experience selling professional services. You will ideally have a sales, account management or even a consulting background looking to move into a more commercial role as well as previous experience of selling consulting services in Financial Services (FS) sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Along with the executive boardshape overall business strategy and growth plans for business development into the Financial Services (FS) sector.
  • Map key client accounts and stakeholders within new client accounts
  • Provide market feedback regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas
  • Hit agreed business development targets
  • Identify, pursue and close new business development opportunities
  • Lead client development and relationship management
  • Develop a pipeline of inbound business
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Stakeholder management
  • Develop detailed proposals and business cases for individual clients
  • Plan strategic initiatives with clients
