Description
In This Role You Will Be Accountable For
- Full accountability for the achievement of agreed service level agreements and KPIs
- Ownership of the site's business plan, operational & financial goals and objectives which are linked to the overall business strategy.
- Leading operational excellence in Health & Safety and continuous improvement.
What is a General Manager responsible for?
- Delivering effective and accurate information to customers and for period reviews etc
- Developing and designing recommendations
- Establishing and effectively managing & scrutinising operational / behavioural KPI's
- Extensively experienced in logistics and warehousing management as a General manager
- Full appreciation / application of the principles of a Logistics Operations
- Up to date and involved with industry developments
- Implementing Six Sigma / CI principles
- Able to drive best practice
- Monitor and control the site to ensure adherence to H&S legal requirements
Profile
You must have operated at a General Manager level previously, either within a inhouse retail or 3PL environment:
-Experience of leading a large scale, fast paced distribution centre
-Financial and commercial acumen is essential
-Proven track record in leading, developing and inspiring teams
-Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 methodologies
