Description
Our client are currently looking to recruit a full-time Head of Construction, where you will lead, manage and motivate a national team of construction project managers to deliver construction projects nationally in accordance with the design, specification and quality expectations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, and contractual obligations.You will lead on and drive quality improvements in product development / technical innovation, working with key internal/external stakeholders, assessing experience and using this to continually improve design and specification.
The post holder will be a recognised construction expert able to solve complex problems and deliver high quality homes that meet the Organisation's requirements and deliver against strategic targets such as meeting environmental standards.
Profile
The successful candidate will possess a significant track record of successfully managing multiple complex construction projects simultaneously (£10m contract minimum), including the following:* Demonstrable experience of brokering collaborative working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, in order to build public/private sector partnerships
* Experience of undertaking robust development and evaluation appraisals to ensure validity of project
* Experience of driving continuous improvement and performance and effectively reporting on construction performance.
* Practical experience and sound understanding of Homes England operating models, procedures, funding mechanisms and the operating environment for Registered Providers.
* CIOB/RICS/APM or construction-related degree
In addition, you will have excellent advisory, organisational, negotiating and communication skills, along with leadership and motivational skills and a proven track record of leading a construction team.
