A key objective for the team is to promote its recently developed, Tier 1, business critical, system as the strategic booking platform across the group, whilst responding to support and ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing business requirements.

The GM FO eTrading IT group is responsible for the development, support and maintenance of a number of bespoke front-office applications across Global Market IT, with a global user base of several thousand users.

Description

• Good university degree in a scientific or mathematical discipline.
• Strong programming skill in low latency Core Java. C# programming skill is a plus.
• Grid distributed, fault tolerant architecture. Oracle coherence.
• Ability to multi-task and regularly context-switch.
• Practical exposure in measuring latency, tuning for performance and optimisation.
• Well-organised, self-sufficient, able to own and progress issues.
• Strong Communication skills, verbal and written, applied across various levels of the organisation.

Profile

This is a high-pressure role in a front-office IT environment and previous exposure to such environment is essential. This role will suit a highly determined individual who is a self starter, has a strong technical, analytical and communication skills, and is comfortable with both analysis and IT development.

Good business knowledge of FX Products is required and the candidate should be mathematically strong in order to understand and contribute to the flow.
