Finance Director

Grafton Banks Finance Executive Search has been retained by an expanding c£30m turnover niche house builder in Sussex to recruit a Finance Director. The business has long term major investment from a respected family office and requires an experienced Finance Director with previous SME housebuilding experience to drive the company onto to the next stage of organic growth with the CEO and Board. Managing and mentoring a small team the successful individual will be expected to produce monthly management accounts and board packs, produce monthly and annual budgets and forecasts, manage the audit process, produce interim and final statutory accounts, produce regular KPIs, liaise with the Build and Land Teams on budgets, forecasts and spend, implement profit analysis, manage relationships with the banks and investors, involvement in future M&A and challenge the status quo and implement new processes and improvements. The business is set to grow to £100m turnover within the next five years and has plans for expansion beyond this major milestone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to add value, implement improvements and act as a true commercial business partner to the Board. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary, bonus scheme and pension and be expected to be office based in Sussex around 70-80% of the time.
