You will manage a well-established and experienced KM & Learning and Development team developing and implementing strategic solutions to support the firm’s business objectives and processes. This a real opportunity to make your own mark setting strategic objectives and most importantly delivering projects through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare an annual business plan and budget for KM and deliver on those objectives
  • Define and lead the firm’s Knowledge Management Strategy, working collaboratively and flexibly with business service departments
  • Proactively manage the team giving them direction and working alongside Knowledge Development lawyers to understand and meet the needs of those departments
  • Support the drive for KM to improve and enhance client service and to give the firm competitive advantage
  • Manage the ongoing development of the knowledge framework and toolkit required to maximise knowledge assets.
  • Champion and facilitate organisation-wide knowledge sharing so that the firm’s know-how, information and experience are effectively shared.

Suitable candidates will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified solicitor
  • Significant experience in a Knowledge Management role
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge and expertise
  • Produce high quality written materials, template documents, internal guidance, reports and data.
  • Contractual review and drafting skills
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Add value to the business with excellent internal client focus
  • Inspire, motivate, manage and develop the others to ensure optimum performance, promote teamwork and share information
