Commercial Director - Online Furniture

Description

The Commercial Director - Online Furniture will be responsible for the following:

  • The commercial performance of the UK business, in conjunction with HQ manage the P&L, profit, revenue, cash and quality targets
  • They will build and execute the UK Sales Strategy in accordance with the global strategy, with a high-level focus on margins
  • They will lead and develop the UK based team, mentoring and training as needed - they will recruit and train the team to deliver exceptional performance and give world-class customer service to customers
  • Regularly communicate to HQ on business needs and performance versus agreed targets and strategy
  • Work closely with the key functions of the business at HQ, Marketing, Finance, HR, Procurement and Range
  • Always represent the brand professionally and be the face of the UK business

Profile

The successful candidate for the Commercial Director - Online Furniture role will come with the following skills and experience:

  • A proven track record of commercial leadership within the consumer goods industry
  • Track record of eCommerce development and subsequent sales growth - as well as multi-channel experience; B2B, suppliers, corporate etc.
  • Strong leadership skills, and demonstrable background in developing a multi-functional team, setting a best-in-class standard both internally and externally
  • Experience of working with office and workspace products or a very similar category or environment
  • Strong understanding of websites, eCommerce platforms, digital marketing and SEO
  • Exceptionally strong customer-facing skills, track record of presenting at a high-level
  • Track record of successfully winning key account pitches, tenders and major contracts
  • Educated to minimum degree level or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of financials; budgeting and financial management and reporting
  • Energetic and driven character, can-do attitude that transmits to the team, positive attitude and approach and ambitious to produce beyond-target results

We requite the successful candidate to be able to commute daily to the Hampshire office.

Job Offer

circa £80,000 per annum basic salary + car allowance + benefits
