A leading specialist food manufacturer are looking for a Head of Quality to join their leadership team at their facility in Cumbria.

The business are rapidly growing start-up with an established medium sized manufacturing organisation specialising in the manufacture of niche food product .

Description

As part of the site leadership team you will be responsible for managing the QA eam, QA budgets, improvement and maintaining the quality management systems compliance with food manufacturing standards. You will lead a team of QA staff on site, laboratory and quality systems teams, ensuring compliance with global regulations. You will be the leading point for company and external audits working closely with the management team to ensure that all stakeholders have relevant support in relation to quality. You will ensure that the manufacturing teams have relevant training in quality and follow the relevant standards, working to ensure product quality and HACCP training, change controls and good documentation practise.

Profile

The Head of Quality must have a strong backgroun din GxP, HACCP and food safety in a quality leadership capacity. In addition the ideal candidate will have led a quality team previously, providing a clear strategy for people in your team. In addtion you will have previous backgroun din quality assurance, food safety and ideally have knowledge of food standards required across the world. The suitable candidate will have a minimum BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals or related discipline.
