Director of Finance & Operations

My client is a small but very influential organisation that is committed to challenging the policy and practice of the UK today to ensure everyone can enjoy a full, healthy and inclusive later life. With a bold and innovative approach, they work in partnership with a diverse range of organisations improving employment, housing, health and communities.

At present, they are looking to appoint an interim Director of Finance & Operations to oversee a broad variety of duties whist permanent recruitment is considered.

Key responsibilities & objectives:

• Reporting into the CE and overseeing Finance, Governance, Operations, Investment & Risk
• Ensure sound financial and risk management strategies are in place including long term financial forecasts, investment policy and diversification of funding.
• Conduct a thorough review of financial management, processes and controls, embedding improvements where required.
• As a member of the senior executive team, contribute to the corporate leadership, strategy and management of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a track record in managing various operational functions in particular governance and risk. Coming from a Not-for-Profit background, you will be very comfortable operating at executive board level and liaising with prominent trustees.

Due to the current COVID guidelines, this role will be homes based, although as restrictions ease there will be an expectation of 1 day in the central London office a week.
