Infrastructure Project Manager | Lifecycle Projects assignment. 3 month assignment. Outside IR35
This global business requires an Infrastructure Project Manager to provide ownership of all aspects of projects in terms of day to day delivery of infrastructure and application life cycle changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Scheduling, coordinating and managing the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
- Manage Stakeholders
- Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, issues and opportunities on a daily basis
- Ability to forecast and manage budgets
- Manage the project resource requirements, requests and project team activities
- Liaise with and provide support and guidance to the business on project activities
Skills/Experience Required:
Mandatory
- Minimum of five years demonstrable experience in end to end IT Infrastructure project delivery.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and successfully with full adherence to governance
- Proven experience of leading project teams ensuring delivery of tasks and work packages
- Extensive experience of managing third party suppliers
- Demonstrate the ability to work closely and effectively with security and infrastructure architects, ensuring requirements are translated into designs and deliverables according to plan
- Excellent leadership stakeholder management skills, Inspiring confidence in key stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of support/operations and infrastructure technologies including technologies such as Windows Desktop Servers, VMWare, Virtualization and network security
- Careful at risk assessment and a good decision maker
- Communication skills:
- Clear documentation and excellent presentation skills
The Person
- Sound training and knowledge of project management tools and techniques (PRINCE 2 or equivalent)
- Detailed planning, delivering credible and achievable plans
- Astute manager of budgets.
- A flexible and pragmatic approach to delivering projects
- Appreciation and understanding of key infrastructure building blocks, such as networking, virtual and server environments, mobile technology, collaboration tools etc.
- Someone who takes pride in generating a project buzz and inspiring the project team to deliver quality at every stage of the process
- The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions
