Apprenticeships, T Levels and opportunity – if you believe they’re important, read on...

We are looking for senior, accomplished professionals from all sectors who want a voice in the development of apprenticeships and technical qualifications (T Levels). Here at the Institute, we create and review apprenticeship standards, apprenticeship assessment plans and T Level courses. If you can offer outstanding occupational knowledge, exceptional experience and a true understanding of the needs of your sector, we need you!

Our mission is to provide better access, for all, to the highest quality occupational opportunities. To succeed, it’s vital that our work is employer-led. Your insight will keep our work aligned with the current and future needs of the workplace, ensuring apprenticeships and T Level courses deliver the competent individuals who will be the brightest lights in your sector, tomorrow.

We are currently looking for a diverse representation of experts, from all occupations, to join our 15 route panels. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who work in the catering and hospitality, health and science, protective services or transport and logistics sector.

What’s the role?

As a route panel Member, you would consider and discuss submissions for the development of the different elements of apprenticeships and T Level qualifications in your field. You would help us to develop a holistic, strategic view of the needs of your sector, identifying occupational skills gaps and diversity challenges and shaping our approach. We would also ask you to be employer ambassadors for the work of the Institute.

What are we looking for?

Professional credibility and Members’ ability to take a strategic view are vital to the panels’ success. We’re looking for a track record of achievement and the recent, specialist expertise which positions Members to offer an authoritative view on the occupational requirements of specific roles.

Our Members offer their time on a voluntary basis, although we reimburse all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses.

How to apply

If you are passionate about the future of your occupation and the skills it needs, find out more or apply to become a route panel Member today by following the link to the Institute’s website.

We are committed to eliminating discrimination, valuing diversity and promoting equality of opportunity and we will welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you have a disability, please let us know of any adjustments we can make to support you during the recruitment process.
