Head of Finance

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a very fast growing business in the heart of Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business which continues to grow year on year and aspires to again double in size.

The Group are looking to acquire a ‘hands-on’ Head of Finance to drive the business through all past and future ventures strengthening controls, processes and commercials. This position will be No.2 to the Chief Finance Officer and will play a big part in driving force the business towards future investment or sale within the foreseeable future. This role will be focussing on supporting the businesses with their growth and improvements needed within the finance function for the exit strategy. This opportunity is envisaged to be a succession planning role to future No.1 financial position of the Group or business unit.

The role will include:

• Overall leadership of the finance team of c20 qualified and transactional staff with direct line management for up to 4 sub-team heads.
• Full ownership of the P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and associated analysis.
• Support commercial teams with projects
• Lead on acquisitions and consolidate new businesses into the Group
• Drive the annual internal/external audit process and statutory accounts production
• Create new and update existing processes to drive efficiencies and maintain best practice for the business needs
• An active participant in the devising and implementation of IT strategies.
• Partner senior stakeholders and board in presenting and explaining financial information and performance of the business

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) and have a solid track record of delivery within a changing environment.  Experience and active participation in a private equity/ investment process will also be key. You will need to have excellent core finance experience and can thrive within a fast-paced environment.

Salary is £70k - £75k + bonus + benefits
