Managing Director

We are looking for an experienced Managing Director to lead, develop and grow our clients established business. You will be responsible for the overall success of the business and all of their employees. You will shape the future of the business and ensure sustained growth and returns.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 3 and 5-year business plan with regular monitoring to ensure that the company meets its objectives
• Oversee the preparation of the annual report and accounts of the company ensuring approval by the board
• Succession plan for the existing workforce and new hires
• Provide strategic advice to the chair and members of the board
• Establish business risks and mitigate
• Represent the company in negotiations with all customers, supplies and other key stakeholders
• Establish and maintain effective links with major customers, relevant agencies and local authorities
• Develop and maintain an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the company

Requirements

• Proven experience as Managing Director within a manufacturing/production or engineering of bespoke products
• Graduate-level of intellect preferably with a higher degree in a management discipline or professional qualification
• An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
