A SME client of ours in the business services arena has asked us to help recruit a Financial Controller to join their growing business. This is an exciting time to join as this role will assume responsibility for much of the day-to-day running of the finance team as the Finance Director expands their role to include other operational areas. As such we are looking for someone with the necessary experience and gravitas to assume a leading role in the finance team.

Key duties include

  • Management of monthly reporting
  • Responsibility for credit control, cashflow and payment cycles
  • Production of monthly board pack including cashflow
  • Annual budget and financial planning
  • Production of corporation tax returns and VAT submission
  • Lead point for external audit process and preparation of statutory accounts
  • Develop and manage two direct reports

    • You will be ACA qualified or equivalent, from practice but with industry experience post qualification. Audit background advantageous. You will also have proven team management and leadership skills.
