I am currently recruiting on behalf of an end - user in Harrow who are looking for a D365FO Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Please see below to find out more about the role:

My client runs several IT Systems across multiple platforms serving a worldwide user base 24/7/365. This role will support users and systems, primarily focused on supporting the Global and U.S. Support Desks.

Role & Responsibilities:

This a key role where the individual will be responsible for the delivery of critical projects through the full life cycle both from a system and business perspective playing a lead part in the transformation activities happening within the organisation, supported by a network of super users/SMEs across the globe. The individual will be required to be flexible and willing to adapt to take on tasks so they can to achieve the desired project outcomes, this could include defining business requirements, processes and procedures, portfolio management and planning as well as leading Senior Executive board reviews on the project's or portfolios progress. You will need to be tenacious, diligent and have a strong can do attitude, and accomplish project objectives by planning, evaluating and co-ordinating all project activities.

Role Duties:

  • Supports management of new projects and change requests through the portfolio management processes including Change Approval Board, Steering, Design Authority and documenting approvals and decisions.
  • Works with functional consultants/analysts, system architects and developers to estimate project deliverables and coordinate design sign-offs.
  • Manages all project/portfolio activities and deliverables including; tracking, resource management, financials and reporting progress.
  • Manages the elicitation, specification and documentation of business requirements for assigned projects and small change requests where required.
  • Supports network of super users to document business processes and procedures affected by change.
  • Briefs, plans, and coordinates testing and training activity throughout the business for specific projects.
  • Defines, agrees, and oversees user testing within the designated acceptance process.
  • Supports the go/no go process, gaining and documenting approvals and decisions.
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.
  • Makes sure that project documents are accurate, concise, up-to-date, and stored appropriately.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record as a successful project manager with over 5 years experience
  • Possess solid understanding of IT (including application programming, database and system design) and business environments
  • Experience with D365 Finance and Operations (or AX2012)
  • Demonstratable experience of E2E project delivery, ideally from a BA background/experience of, and someone who is ambitious and happy to work in a fast paced environment

Please note that the role will be a mix of office and home based so you can be based anywhere within the UK as long as you're OK to travel (post Covid). My client is open for either a young, bright graduate who has a couple of year's experience but clearly someone who will grow quickly, or someone who has 8+ year's experience as a PM (with D365FO experience).
